I am retired and my wife and I are finding our home too large to continue to maintain it. We both would prefer to have something smaller now, which will also free us. We enjoy travelling, but we have never ventured too far. We both feel ready to move and even considered possibly relocating to a new area. There are costs and certain restrictions attached with these and you should be well informed before making any decisions. Alternatively, Condos or Home Units are popular, these usually have a management scheme attached to the maintenance and insurance, again in multiple living schemes. You may also be mindful that they may not be exclusive to retirees, and may also be investment properties which are rented - This may be less desirable and important to consider also.
